Gavin Chandler, CFA

CEO, Board Member

Gavin is the Chief Executive Officer of Trokie, a position he has held since October 2021.  Gavin builds enterprise value in early and mid-stage companies in diverse fields by leveraging his broad skills for business development, financial innovation, team building, and operations. Gavin has held executive roles in diverse fields including biotechnology, energy, big data, real estate services, and transportation safety. He’s also co-authored patents and managed patent prosecution in the fields of vehicle safety, gaming, biotechnology, environmental engineering, and genomics.

Gavin earned his B.S. in Biochemistry, Cum Laude, from the University of Nevada. He received his formal training in finance through the CFA program, earning his CFA Charter in 2007. Gavin has been a Board member of the CFA Society of Nevada since 2014. Gavin lives with his wife and daughter in Reno, Nevada.

Maria Stella Watson

VP Business Development

Maria is a +30 year veteran of the nutraceutical industry with a focus on professional medical channels. She began in the business in 1990 as a distributor for Omnitrition International, where she grew the business to a multi-million dollar revenue level over a period of 4 years. During her career she has held various senior leadership positions in several companies including primary product spokesperson for MSI Labs where she produced and was featured in 14 successful infomercials, and also lead all product development and event planning and execution. Between 2000 and 2010 as VP of Sales and Marketing, Business Development and R&D, Maria led Vitamin Research Products (VRP) from $8m to $60m in revenues and the subsequent acquisition by a private equity firm.

More recently, Maria has held senior executive sales and BD rolls representing national brands that comprise tens of millions of revenues. These include Neogenis as CMO and Product Development Director, Superbeets where as senior BD team leader took the product from $300k to $15m in annual sales in 2 years, and Upspring Baby where she engineered growth leading to an acquisition by Reckitt Benckiser. Additionally, she has had senior consulting roles with brands that include Alkaline 88, Parasol Nutrition, OrganiCare, Prodrome, BHRT Training Academy, and several other brands recognized in the professional medical channel.

Montgomery L. “FM” Byers

VP Digital Marketing

Montgomery, is the current CEO of SMDigital Partners, an international digital agency with over 275 employees and offices in North America, South America, the Philippines, Spain, and Dubai. “F.M.”, as he is known, leads the strategic direction of the company developing products and services primarily focused on driving revenue for clients. Under his leadership, the firm has built up extensive experience and expertise within the healthcare sector – in both the business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) areas. Of late, his efforts have been focused on start-up organizations where he leverages the firm’s abilities attracting, engaging, and converting new customers for enhanced revenue and ultimately enterprise value for his current client roster.

Prior to SMDigital, he was a principal at Access Medical Supply, the nation’s fastest growing medical supply company at the time – and a pioneer in the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) space. FM’s primary responsibilities involved the technology, sales & marketing and operational functions. After only five years of explosive growth, the company was sold to Owens & Minor (NYSE:OMI). FM has held various senior leadership positions, including at W.R. Grace, and as founder of an online healthcare staffing company for hospitals that was strategically sold to Gannett’s (NYSE:GCI) healthcare division.

He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Lake Forest College, serves on the board of two non-profit athletic organizations and is an advisor to and investor in several real estate, healthcare and fin tech companies. He presently lives with his wife and two children in the Miami, FL area and is still a competitive soccer player, culinary artist and adventure traveler.

Dr. Kenton Crowley, PharmD, ABAAHP, FAARFM

VP Research and Education

Dr. Crowley currently is the VP of Research and Education and Chief Medical Officer for Farm to Farma Inc. dba Trokie. Kenton Crowley is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from University of California, San Francisco and completed his residency with Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his Fellowship in Genomic, Metabolic and Nutritional Medicine in 2011. During his 38 years in practice, he has worked in all areas of pharmacy practice, including primary research at UCI, Dept. of Pediatrics, Division of Child Development, involved in the development of several drugs; Inventor of two Patents in neuropathic pain and two Patents on a buccal delivery system incorporating cannabis.

Dr. Crowley is a member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, a member of the International Cannabinoid Research Society, the International Society of Cannabis Pharmacists, and is on the Board and Chairs the Research Advisory Board for the American Osteopathic Society of Rheumatic Diseases and Integrative Medicine.

Charles Feldmann

Charles Feldmann, Esq., serves as a Trusted Adviser for the cannabis industry’s largest and most profitable businesses on an international scale. He assists his legal and consulting clients in all of their corporate operations, licensing, intellectual property, joint venture, transaction documentation, private placements/investor relations, licensing, rules and regulation, IPO’s, statutory authority, compliance, legislative and governmental relations, litigation, partnership and enforcement appeal. Charles is co-founder of Gateway Proven Strategies, LLC, the premier consulting firm for global cannabis business and regulatory consulting.

He uses his past experience as a Marine Corps federal prosecutor, DEA Drug Task Force Commander and state narcotics prosecutor to assist his clients in establishing strict regulatory compliance protocols at both the state, federal and international levels. His expertise has been instrumental to his clients achieving DEA-Level compliance standards regarding evolving US state and federal rules and regulations and ensuring strict international compliance for his client’s marijuana and hemp import and export businesses.

Mr. Feldmann has worked with marijuana and hemp clients in almost all of the US states that have legalized cannabis and the currently expending hemp market place. His expertise has been sought out by various state legislative branches for new medical and recreational marijuana regulatory programs. Charles is a highly sought speaker and notable author regarding all facets of cannabis regulatory environments and business.

Shane Johnson, MD

Board Member

Shane is an experienced entrepreneur with demonstrated skills in strategic planning, corporate development, mergers & acquisitions, start-ups, and leadership. B.A. & B.S. focused in Studio Art & Neuroscience from Brown University, and an M.D. from Stanford University. Shane is currently Senior Vice President at InMed Pharmaceuticals, a company developing novel cannabinoid-based health and medical products based on patented cannabinoids manufacturing technology.
